What tangible results can I hope to see?
We are a results-based organization, and value both quantity and quality. Our goal is to have our programs reach as many youth as possible and by 2015 we plan to be operating in all 19 refugee camps in the West Bank. Our mentors and counselors work with youth over the summer but also throughout the academic year. We measure their progress and development using an evaluation method created by academics and former refugee youth who are now professionals. Tufts University and Stanford University have approved our research/evaluation methodologies.
Why should I donate money to Inspire Dreams, Inc?
We understand the limitations in the work we do. We cannot broker a peace deal, negotiate land treaties, or end political infighting. However, we see education as a tool for personal and economic development. Our programs seek to empower a disenfranchised sector of society and further their ability to become professionals contributing to Palestine's educational and economic development.
How do you ensure that my money does not fall in the wrong hands in the West Bank?
Our bank account is located in the United States. Every dollar we spend in the US and abroad is accounted for, and we keep receipts and file our taxes each year. Many of our financial sponsors, such as Oxfam International, require this, and we also do it out of good faith and practice.
What organizations have provided you assistance?
The Clinton Foundation, Kathryn Wasserman Davis Foundation, Oxfam International, the Pat Tillman Foundation, and Fred Foundation have all made monetary contributions. In addition, we receive a number of individual donations.
Can I discuss making a donation more?
